Brazilian Jiu Jitsu near Gymea

Gymea is one of the Sutherland Shire's busiest local centres, and RISEN Jiu Jitsu is just next door in Miranda. If you live around the Gymea shops, along Gymea Bay Road or on the quieter streets towards Gymea Bay, you can be on our mats without crossing the Shire. We are a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy for kids, teens and adults, and our first class is made for people who have never trained before.

Getting to RISEN from Gymea

Miranda is the next station after Gymea on the Cronulla line, so the trip by train is a single stop, and by car it is a short drive. Our academy is at Unit 2, First Floor, 205 Port Hacking Rd, Miranda NSW 2228. That makes it easy to fit training in around school pick-up or work.

Classes for Gymea families

Our Mini class (ages 3-4) builds balance, listening and confidence through play, while Kids (ages 5-8) and Youth (ages 9-15) add technique and positive habits. Adults train in both Gi and No-Gi. No experience or uniform is needed for your first class, and our coaches take beginners through it step by step. Women are welcome in all adult classes, practical self defence is part of the training, and a dedicated women's class is coming soon.
