5. Payments and Third-Party Service Providers

RISEN may use trusted third-party service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business.

These may include Gymdesk for membership and booking management, Stripe for payment processing, Squarespace for our website, and other professional, technology or administrative service providers where required.

Where payments are processed through a third-party payment provider such as Stripe, payment information is handled through that provider’s systems. RISEN does not store complete payment card details itself.

Some service providers may process or store information using systems or infrastructure located outside Australia. The locations in which information is processed may depend on the provider and its infrastructure and may change from time to time.

We take reasonable steps to use reputable service providers and to handle personal information appropriately.

We may contact you in connection with an enquiry, free trial, booking, membership or other interaction with RISEN.

Where permitted, we may also send occasional communications about relevant RISEN programs, memberships, events or services.

You may ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by using any unsubscribe facility provided or by contacting us at hello@risenjiujitsu.com.au.

Service-related communications that are necessary to manage a booking, membership or your participation may still be sent where appropriate.

7. Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Personal information may be stored electronically through the systems and service providers we use to operate RISEN.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, our legitimate business and record-keeping requirements, and any applicable legal, insurance or regulatory requirements. When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is appropriately deleted or de-identified, where practicable and subject to the systems and service providers we use.

8. Access and Correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.

Parents or legal guardians may contact us regarding information relating to their child where appropriate.
